Mr Cinga Nyangintsimbi

Mr Cinga Nyangintsimbi is an entrepreneur who set his sight on a goal and worked relentlessly until he achieved it. His advice to current engineering students include:

  • Push your passion! If you truly enjoy doing something and you are the best at it, do it! Ultimately, fulfilment outweighs most other reasons.
  • Set a clear target! Decide what you want to achieve and keep working until you achieve your goal.
  • Trust yourself! It is in your DNA. A baby does not stop learning to walk after falling the first time, so why would you stop after the first failure or challenge? Adapt, make a plan, and execute it.
  • Sometimes, people achieve "big" things because they decided to aim for the big things from the beginning and worked until they achieved them. First, you must believe that you can achieve it!
  • Figure it out! Often, no one knows what it truly takes to achieve a goal until they start working on it. Start working and figure the rest out as you go.
  • Persevere! Keep pushing until you reach your goal! "Life" can be gruelling. It can break you down if you let it. Take a break if you need to, then stand up and keep going until you earn what you have been working for.
  • Do the right thing! The world has enough problems. Be the solution. Choose to be the light that shines the path for other people. Doing the right thing can sometimes be more difficult, but it is better! We need more good people doing good things on a global scale.

SGU1000 was his favourite module, and he says all his lecturers was his favourite. However, Karen Church had the most significant impact on his academic career. He will forever be grateful for the life lessons learnt from all my lecturers. His plans include BATSAMAYI Engineers Bespoke Software Solutions. As such, their goal is to bring genuine solutions to the African continent. Specifically, engineering software solutions in the Health, Agriculture and Education sectors.
